Arvada Changes

I am an Arvada native and love my town. So much has changed here from when I was a child. The movie theater, which is currently under renovations with a new owner, used to be a dirt lot where I would fly my kite and visit the carnival when it came to town. Olde Town was not the destination spot it is now. And housing prices definitely were not at the level they are today.

It is  wonderful to see the improvements made but sometimes I miss the way it used to be. Not to wax nostalgic but that once empty lot holds a lot of memories for me. Having a hard time finding parking to visit Olde Town is frustrating. And most restaurants being on a wait during dinner hours makes me hangry. Is any of this going to make me stop being a proud Arvadan? Of course not, but it can’t make me stop wishing sometimes that I was 7 again.
